I’m Dr. Maria Fermín Clofent, a dentist specialized in orthodontics for children and adults. I’m passionate about guiding my patients —both young and old— through the process of achieving a healthy, functional, and balanced smile, tailoring each treatment to their individual needs.
I offer orthodontic treatments with conventional and aesthetic braces, clear aligners, and interceptive orthodontics. In children, the latter plays a key role, as it allows us to detect and treat dentoskeletal malocclusions early, taking advantage of growth to properly guide the development of the teeth and facial structures. In this way, we can prevent future problems and promote harmonious facial growth.
My work philosophy is based on providing close, respectful, and personalized care, combining the latest technology with a comprehensive vision of oral health. I firmly believe that an early visit to the dentist can make a lasting difference in the health and aesthetics of one’s smile throughout life.
Types of Orthodontic Treatments
Braces Orthodontics
Braces allow us to align and correct the position of the teeth through small, controlled adjustments. They can be metallic or aesthetic (sapphire or ceramic), depending on the patient’s preferences. They are a very effective option for cases of varying complexity and offer precise, predictable results.
Clear Aligner Orthodontics
Clear aligners are a discreet, comfortable, and removable alternative to traditional braces. Through custom-made transparent trays, the teeth gradually move into the desired position, achieving ideal alignment and occlusion. They are the treatment of choice for patients seeking an aesthetic and practical option, with easier oral hygiene throughout the process.
Dentofacial Orthopedics with Appliances
In pediatric patients, orthopedics allows us to guide jaw growth and correct skeletal imbalances before growth is complete. We use fixed or removable functional appliances, with or without extraoral devices, to stimulate or control the development of facial structures, preventing or reducing the need for more complex treatments in the future.
