History

Welcome to Policlínica Comarcal del Vendrell

It is a private health centre which dates back to 1941. It borns as a center for acute patients, but extends its coverage to chronic patients care in 1986, with its inclusion in “Vida als anys” Programme of the Generalitat de Catalunya. It becomes a supplier center of CatSalut and it is named Social and Health Center of reference in the Region of Baix Penedès with a ward and 120 beds social and health care, as well as the 24-bed assisted home care, also agreed with the ICASS.

In 2004, the Policlínica moved your External Office Unit, as well as the Rehabilitation Unit and the Administration Department, to the new annex building identified as Polymedic Central.
In September 2010 a new pavilion annex to the original was inaugurated, and there is moved the Acute Unit, Emergency, Diagnostic by the image, Laboratory, as well as other services care. In the same year, it is operated expansion of the surgical area, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Service and new medical specialties and diagnostic tests, as well as the PCV Dental Clinic of new creation.
In 2014, PCV moved the Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Cosmetic surgery offices and reviews and official certificates (car, weapons, etc) to Valls Road N. 15, Vendrell Center.

In 2016, care units such as the surgical CMA or Emergency Care Unit, the Assisted Reproduction Unit, and the Sports Medicine and Ergodynamics Unit were expanded.
