POLICLINICA COMARCAL DEL VENDRELL (PCV) is a private health center whose origin goes back to 1941. It was born as a center for acute patients, but expanded its health care coverage to chronic patients in 1985, with its incorporation into the “Vida als anys” Program of the Generalitat de Catalunya, becoming a provider of the CatSalut and Socio-sanitary Reference Center of the Baix Penedés Region.
PCV is configured as a multi-purpose health center with a multi-professional and multifunctional capacity to cover both hospital and chronic needs of the population of the region of Baix Penedès and its surroundings.
For this, PCV has to attend to “chronic patients” more than a hundred social beds, and 24 beds of Assisted Home Care and Day Hospital Unit.
In order to take care of the acute patients, PCV has a quarantine of beds, all of them outside, with its own bathroom, clinical and gas equipment, TV, air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
The constant commitment of PVC for the pursuit of professional excellence and its continuous training, investments made in state-of-the-art sanitary equipment and technology has allowed PCV to achieve ISO 9001: 2008 Certification, which it periodically renews.
In this sense, the expansion of the portfolio of healthcare services provided by PCV has been constant over time, which I will not refer to here, but I invite you to discover them on the new PCV website.
