Yesterday, PCV received the certificate of Accreditation of Acute Hospital Care Centers of Catalonia, in a process in which 79 hospitals participated, among which it received the best assessment, in terms of quality and patient safety.
El Vendrell, on January 25, 2025, Policlínica Comarcal de El Vendrell (PCV), private hospital and socio-sanitary internment center of the Baix Penedès Region, yesterday received the best rating in the Acute Hospital Care of Catalonia 2024 process, which it had not been done since 2014.
With the aim of guaranteeing the promotion of continuous improvement, the incorporation and integration of the patient safety strategy and the evaluation of the level of care quality of the organizations of the Catalan health system, the Department of Health of the Generalitat of Catalonia, through the General Directorate of Health Planning and Regulation, handed out the Certificates of Accreditation of Acute Hospital Care Centers of Catalonia yesterday.
Of the 79 entities presented for their reaccreditation or accreditation, in its third edition 2024 (2006, 2014 and 2024), 65 public hospitals and 14 private hospitals were presented, leaving Policlínica Comarcal de El Vendrell as the best valued and scored Center, with a 98.33, and consequently (with an average of 93.7) the Baix Health Region Penedès.
