At our Polyclinic, we’ve had some very special days celebrating San Juan’s Day. As every year, we organized various activities so our patients could enjoy leisure time, socializing, and fun, encouraging participation and creating a festive atmosphere that we will all remember fondly.
The celebration began on the afternoon of June 22nd, when we had the pleasure of a visit from the Canyelles Playback Group, who came to our center to give a very special performance. From the very first moment, they managed to spread their energy and enthusiasm, performing a variety of songs with great rhythm, humor, and charm.
During the entire performance there will be no shortage of smiles, applause and finally every patient will be encouraged to sing and dance from the seient, creating a very proper and participatory environment. It will be an afternoon full of emotions and fun that will allow everyone to enjoy a different spectacle, sharing the routine and sharing a very pleasant experience between patients, family members and professionals of the center.
The following morning, June 23rd, we continued the San Juan festival celebrations in the Polyclinic courtyard. Taking advantage of the good weather, we decorated the space to create a vibrant and joyful atmosphere, where our patients enjoyed a morning full of activities designed just for them.
The day began with a fun water balloon fight, one of the most anticipated activities, which helped beat the heat and generated lots of laughter among all the participants. Patients and staff shared this moment in a relaxed atmosphere, demonstrating that fun knows no age limits.
Next came one of the most original moments of the morning: our now-traditional balloon firework display, which surprised everyone with the bursting of dozens of balloons, filling the courtyard with color and excitement. Following this, we continued the festivities with a lively firework display, followed by a spectacular colorful fountain, which added a special touch to the celebration and was enthusiastically applauded by all those present.
After these activities, it was time to capture the day. We set up a summer photo booth decorated with various summer-themed items, where patients could take pictures with colleagues, family members, and staff. It was a very engaging activity that resulted in photos full of smiles and fond memories.
As every good festival deserves, a moment to share a delicious breakfast was a must. All the attendees enjoyed a traditional San Juan cake, accompanied by refreshing juices, sharing pleasant conversation while continuing to soak up the festive atmosphere.
To bring these two special days to a close, we made an emotional toast with non-alcoholic cava. Before raising our glasses, we invited all the patients to close their eyes for a few moments and think of a wish for this new chapter that begins with summer. It was a simple moment, but full of hope, optimism, and emotion, allowing us to end the celebration in a very meaningful way.
From the Polyclinic, we would like to once again express our gratitude to all the patients and staff who made these activities possible, as well as to the Canyelles Playback Group, whose visit provided the perfect start to a celebration marked by joy, participation, and camaraderie.
These have undoubtedly been two unforgettable days that remind us of the importance of continuing to create spaces where we can share experiences, enjoy time together, and promote the emotional well-being of all our patients.
