This week we welcomed autumn with a very special program, full of color, traditions, crafts, and above all, a great desire to share good times.

During these days we enjoyed different activities designed to encourage participation, creativity, and interaction among the residents of the care home and the intermediate care hospital.

Tuesday: Autumn Crafts

We started the week with a craft activity inspired by autumn. Leaves, typical foods, animals, warm colors, and lots of creativity were the stars of a morning where we enjoyed creating and sharing.

Wednesday: We prepared the panellet dough

On Wednesday we got down to business. We prepared the mixture to make traditional panellets, one of the most typical sweets of this time of year.

Thursday: We Shape the Panellets and Celebrate the “Castañada“

One of the most anticipated days arrived!

In the morning, we all shaped the panellets we had prepared the day before and put them in the oven.

In the afternoon, we celebrated the Castañada with the arrival of the chestnut vendors, who gave us sweet potatoes and chestnuts.

We also enjoyed a lively autumn bingo game, where music, memories, and the desire to participate were the stars.

There was no shortage of laughter and dancing!

Friday: We tasted our panellets!

To end the week in the best way, we shared a very sweet moment during the “Tea with Words” workshop, where we tasted the panellets we had made throughout the week, accompanied by our herbal teas.

Both the residents of the care home and those from the social care center were able to enjoy these little treats made with great care.

It has been a week full of special moments, shared traditions, and lots of participation. Because, ultimately, the most important thing is not just doing activities, but creating spaces to meet, share experiences, and enjoy ourselves together.

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this a very special week!

See you next fall!
